
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) courses are available within our company for employees who require first aid training as part of their role, including staff applying for or renewing an SIA licence. The course is designed to provide essential life-saving skills and ensure employees are prepared to respond confidently and effectively in workplace emergencies.
This training meets the first aid requirements associated with many Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence applications, including Door Supervisor and Security Guard roles. The course is delivered by qualified trainers and includes both practical and theoretical learning to ensure all participants gain the necessary knowledge and confidence.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course covers a range of important topics, including:
- The role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing emergency situations safely
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Managing unconscious casualties
- Treating choking incidents
- Controlling bleeding and minor injuries
- Dealing with shock
- Recognising seizures and other medical emergencies
The course is suitable for all employees, particularly those working within the security sector or those seeking to obtain or renew an SIA licence. Upon successful completion, participants receive a recognised Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, valid for three years and accepted for SIA licensing purposes where applicable.
